From laboratory development to production scale
With dedicated R&D technologies and expertise, Syntegon helps scientists and pharmaceutical developers to test formulations, optimize processes, and ultimately prepare the transition from development to production. 2026 PharmSci 360, hosted by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (apps) is the ideal event to meet with scientists and drug developers from across the world. The Syntegon experts will showcase solutions from the broad R&D equipment portfolio.
Mycromix: the small R&D tabletop mixer
Mycromix is a compact tabletop mixer and granulator designed for small product quantities during formulation development. With interchangeable bowls ranging from 0.5 to 10 liters, the system supports different batch sizes while using the same Gentlewing impeller and vertical chopper technology as Syntegon’s production-scale high-shear mixers. This allows manufacturers to transfer process knowledge from development environments to larger production systems. Mycromix is available with various options, such as preparation for organic solvents, heating/cooling jackets, or a three-blade impeller.
Solidlab 1: fast and easy small batch testing
As the ideal solution for your feasibility studies, the Solidlab 1 tabletop unit can either be equipped with a fluid bed or drum coater module. The fluid bed version comes with two different product containers for batches from 0.05 to 1 kg, while the drum coater version has two different drums for batches ranging from 0.25 to 1.2 kg. In contrast to most other solutions on the market, Solidlab 1 features our innovative PROVICON control system, which enables open recipe creation and management for time-saving product development.
Meeting customers where innovation begins
Beyond equipment, Syntegon also offers local OSD Academy sessions, where customers can benefit from expert knowledge, conduct formulation trials, and gain practical experience with processing technologies. This combination of technology, application expertise, and hands-on testing supports manufacturers in making informed decisions during product development.
Benefits at a glance
- Explore and optimize formulations efficiently with equipment designed for early-stage development
- Investigate critical process parameters and evaluate how different settings influence product characteristics
- Work with low batch volumes while testing different formulations and process approaches
- Collaborate with Syntegon specialists to discuss challenges and identify suitable process solutions
With its participation at PharmSci 360, Syntegon demonstrates how close collaboration, R&D expertise, and flexible technologies can support scientists and pharmaceutical manufacturers throughout the development journey – from first formulation trials to future production.
